Poetry Starry EyedGazing into her eyes I lose my self To thoughts and dreams Of aspiration and demise There are so many Points of light and darkness She turns to me then And I remember the times When smiles where an Everyday occurrence Yet still I remember the days A smile was a foreign object It cuts me deep to see her pain And to know that in some part I bear the same traits as her For that I am the cause of hers People always look at The starry night, marveling At the wonderous light But they forget that Surrounding each star Is darkness.
